I would hope Melodi’s parents tried to raise her right. It does appear that she forgot her upbringing and developed an undeserved sense of entitlement.
Melodi Dushane a 24-year old living in Toledo, Ohio pulled up to a McDonalds and ordered some Chicken McNuggets. When she was informed that they did not have any more McNuggets, she lost control.
While I have never personally experienced a McD’s being out of McNuggets, I can see how someone could be disappointed when a restaurant or fast food place runs out of what you were hankerin’ for. Melodi was more than disappointed – she became red-hot angry as a deep-fried McNugget, even to the as is evidenced by her behavior.
She punched and broke the drive-through window! Those windows are really tough, so she had to be treated at the hospital before she was booked into jail.
I don’t know why she pleaded not guilty, as the injuries to her hand with her blood on the McD’s window should be more than enough to prove guilt. However, I believe that being guilty of punching out one of Ronnie’s windows is the least of her worries; she sinned against God.
All of us fall from grace by sinning, so I am not one casting stones here.
Maybe Melodi considered herself as a warrior standing up for everyone’s right to McNuggets. If so, she could have saved herself jail time and the cost of a trial (both her time and money) by following the Proverbs 16:32 (NIV).
32 Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city.
If she had followed that advice she would not have a scarred hand.
Maybe her boyfriend or husband was quick-tempered and prone to angry outbursts and it just rubbed off on her. She could have followed Proverbs 22:24 (NIV).
24 Do not make friends with a hot-tempered man, do not associate with one easily angered,
If she was really angry maybe Psalms 4:4 (NIV) would have helped her.
4 In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. Selah
Ms. Dushane needs the help of Jesus and His Father.
Let us pray that Melodi Dushane is introduced or reintroduced to Jesus and offer
Ephesians 4:31-32 (NIV) to her for her contemplation:
31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.
32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
