The month of May has its origins as the month of growth. We have heard the old adage that April showers bring Pilgrims, er, May flowers. And we are surrounded by new growth as fields fill with flowers, new growth and, unfortunately, weeds.
Especially in these times, all of us could use a new and refreshing time of growth.
Let us pray.
Father in heaven, we thank you for the springtime with all the maturing plants, fragrant smells of the flowers and the start of crops being planted in hopes of an abundant summer and fall.
We thank you for having a safe place to meet out of the lingering end of April showers.
We thank you for all who are able to gather here to share lives and & love, and to break bread with each other.
Please bless the food that you have provided for us. Bless all those who have prepared and served our meals.
Please bless those classmates and their families that were unable to be with us today and mend those who need healing.
We ask all of this and offer thanks in the name of Your Son, Jesus,
P.S. Oh, all of you know what I’m going to say next, so no need to say it. Enjoy!
